Shrove Tuesday represents the feast day before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday, and is traditionally the last opportunity to use eggs and fats before the 40-day Lenten fast leading to Easter

i was just wondering , do you folk do anything ?
in britain we have a thing called pancake day
a recent poll as just discovered that this tradition could well be on its way out .
McDougalls, the flour manufacturer, commissioned the poll.
