This really pisses me off. Obviously Al-Qaeda was involved but I also think the President of Pakistan was as well, he had a lot to lose if the election took place and this woman would have taken him out of office.
This remarkable woman should have had better protection. I know both President Bush and Vice President Cheney has had assassination attempts made on them while in the Middle East and out Secret Service was able to protect them it makes no sense that she wasn't protected. We need to quit kissing ass to their government and demand answers.
Also at stake are over 40 Nuclear Weapons that the Pakistani Military controls and those could easily change hands to Al-Qaeda.
